That was a fast summer and just about all the kids are back in school.  The neighborhoods are quiet during the day, the light has changed and as the weather cools the colors warm.  So beautiful.  And naturally it is a great time to get the windows cleaned.  The next couple of months will be filled with beautiful days where we will want our windows open wide to let the autumn breezes flow through our homes and offices.   With open windows it is a pity to have them dirty as we enjoy the feeling of the outdoors coming in.   Finally the hot temps are leaving us, so as we turn off our swamp coolers and air conditioning our dirty screens and windows will look amazing after a thorough cleaning.

We really appreciate all of our loyal customers.  We have been so busy this year after a slower last year that we haven’t even mailed out our spring mailing.  We normally do that the first part of May, but we have been booked out so far that if we sent out the mailing we would actually lose customers.  We will get to reminding those who have forgotten about us, but it might be a month yet.  But, of course if you are reading this you don’t need reminding. 

Hopefully, if you are trying to find us, you are able.  Google is bringing us up in searches for Denver Window Cleaning, and searches like Arvada Window Cleaning and Littleton Window Cleaning, and some gutter cleaning searches too.  It is tricky and changes from day to day.   And if you type in The Window Man a hundred different The Window Mans come up from all over the country, but if you type in The Window Man Denver or Colorado we come right up.  It is all so hit and miss with searches, but new people are finding us and our past customers are calling.   We are extremely grateful!!!!!! 

With all the crazy stuff going on these days, I just thought a quick blog expressing our thankfulness would be appropriate.  We will continue to do our best to please all of you and remember that our work is guaranteed.  Have a great summer and we look forward to servicing your property soon.

and our schedule is filling up quickly.  This time of year we ask that you plan a little bit ahead for your window cleaning.  With graduation parties and summer gatherings you might want to plan a couple weeks in advance.  May is a very busy month for us which is great, but we also want to be able to accomodate our customers and be able to get your windows cleaned before your events.

We aim to do a mailing about 3 times a year and our spring mailing will be coming up in early May.  This is simply a reminder notice to get your windows and gutters cleaned.  But, ideally we would like to do less and less paper mailings and do more emailings.  Rest assured, we are ardently opposed to bombarding our loyal customers with junk.  So, fret not, our emailings are only every so often and with these we do offer discounts periodically.  So, we are going to start asking for email addresses and over time we can plausibly do away with paper mailings altogether.  It saves us a bundle and perhaps we can pass that savings on to you.

I am not sure why, but ads are now on our website and we did not ask for them to be put there!!!!!!!!!  I apologize if they are obnoxious (which I completely think they are) or offensive (which, ewwww they better not be), but at the moment I don’t know how to make them go away.  I have not signed up for Google ads or anything else, so why they are there I do not know.  Please bear with us while we figure this out.

Why is spring such a natural time for major cleaning?  Historically speaking, the coming out of winter symbolizes a new beginning with sunshine, the growth of green things, and new births all around.  So it makes so much sense to begin with a clean home.   I think it is traditional in all cultures to have a spring cleaning.  With Easter coming and many families gathering together it is a wonderful time to have your windows cleaned.  Give us a call and we can see to it that your windows are bright for this upcoming holiday.

Maybe you have just had new windows installed or the exterior of your home refurbished with paint, stain or stucco.  Was there residual gunk left over on your windows after the work was completed?  This is so frustrating to us window cleaners because the only way to remove this gunk is with a razor.  But…every single glass manufacturer will tell you on their website and paperwork to “NEVER use a sharp blade or scraper to remove deposits or clean the glass.”  They also say to “Never allow metallic or hard objects, such as razor blades or scrapers to come in contact with the glass.”  Guess what, this will void the warranty.    But, homeowners because they don’t know this want to have the window cleaner scrape the glass.  Then when they have scratches on the glass afterwards, the window cleaner gets all the blame and gets to replace the windows.  Why would we take the risk?  Why would the homeowner take the risk?  Painters, stainers and stucco companies need to PROPERLY cover ALL of the windows.  And one must ask why do these glass companies GLUE stickers on their new windows and then have such a policy? 

Our policy is “We do not scrape windows”.   Sorry, we’d like to, but we just can’t!!!  We recommend contacting the company that put on the gunk and have them come remove it at their risk.

Is it really almost mid February?  Where did January go?  I am not complaining - the sooner spring comes the happier I am, but it is really shocking how fast time flies.  Today there is a new beautiful blanket of snow on everything outside.  If your windows are filthy, you’ll have to go out into the cold to see it, but it is quite lovely.  And if you look out and think there is a fog in the air you should definitely give us a call.  We only have a short couple months left of these beautiful sparkly snows before spring takes over and you wouldn’t want to miss the beauty of it all by having dirty windows.  The week will end bright and dry and we’ll be back to work, so give us a call.
